This year, Jenny Stewart marks 20 years as owner and optometrist at Grant & Douglas Optometry & Eyewear, two decades of dedication to exceptional eye care in Hawke’s Bay.

Jenny joined Grant & Douglas in 2006, bringing with her one of the first NZ therapeutic optometry qualifications that put the practice ahead of the curve from day one. Her genuine passion for the profession and for the people she cares for, has shaped every decision since.

Under her leadership, the practice has grown and evolved considerably: from two Visique-branded locations in Hastings and Havelock North, to a purpose-renovated home on Joll Road in Havelock North in 2010, a full renovation of the Hastings practice in 2012, independent rebranding in 2014, and ultimately the consolidation of both locations into one expanded, purpose-built practice in Havelock North in 2020.

Along the way, Jenny has invested in some of the most advanced diagnostic technology available, because exceptional eye care demands the best tools.

Today, Grant & Douglas is a single, thriving independent practice in Havelock North: a highly skilled team, an outstanding eyewear range, exceptional eye care and an even better experience for our clients.
